Born and raised in Central Arkansas, Sonny is a proud graduate of Mills High School in Little Rock. He is the father of two adult children, both of whom he has encouraged to live life to the fullest.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Sonny grew up hunting and fishing with his father, who instilled in him the importance of providing for family from an early age. His passion for deer hunting has taken him across multiple states, where he has successfully harvested many trophy bucks. Today, Sonny enjoys sharing that passion by mentoring others, including his nephew Reece, in the traditions of hunting.

As an integral part of Arkansas Extreme Outdoors, Sonny serves as a skilled camera operator, capturing hunting and fishing adventures to preserve memories for others. He especially loves hunting in the Ouachita Mountains, where he spends summers running dozens of trail cameras to track deer movement. In addition to hunting, Sonny enjoys fishing and running Yo-Yos—a practice that allows him to provide fresh food for his family and friends.
