“There is a fine line between fishing and sitting on the bank.”
~Chris Phillips
Chris Phillips has proudly called Pine Bluff home his entire life, graduating from Humphrey High School before earning an associate degree in computer networking. He and his wife, Rachel, have been married for over 13 years and share a blended family with six children.
At the age of 19, Chris enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer (12B) and was stationed in Hanau, Germany, for three years. Over the course of his 21-year military career, he served both active duty and with the Arkansas National Guard. His service included a combat tour in Iraq, support missions during Hurricane Katrina and Arkansas tornadoes, and later retraining as a plumber and construction supervisor. Chris retired from the Army in 2020 with more than two decades of honorable service.
Today, Chris continues his commitment to serving his country as a civilian employee with the Department of War. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, raising livestock, and managing his fantasy football leagues.
Chris is also deeply involved in his community. He serves as Vice President and Website Administrator for Arkansas Extreme Outdoors, a Deacon and sound technician at Pursuit Church, Vice President and Treasurer of the Sons of the American Revolution – Bayou Bartholomew Chapter, President and Treasurer of the 4-Seasons Hunting Club, and as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) with Voices for Children in Jefferson and Lincoln Counties.
