2025 Expo Schedule
(always subject to changes)
8:00 AM - 9:50 AM - All sound equipment and each band's equipment placement on stage is finalized. This time will also be for a sound check for the bands.... All Vendors will setup during this time.
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM - Registration for the Kids Fishing Derby (Age groups include up to 15 years old - no one 16 or older).
9:50 AM - Sonny McCumpsey announces the Kids Fishing Derby is about to start and directs people accordingly. Sonny McCumpsey welcomes Pursuit Church to the stage. (*Note* AEO's Sonny McCumpsey is the Event Host.)
10:00 AM - Kids Fishing Derby Starts
10:00 AM - 10:45 AM - Pursuit Church will be teaching, preaching, and leading us in praise & worship.
11:00 AM - Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration (free samples afterwards!): Classic Buttermilk Biscuits (Located at Whispering Pines Chruch Wagon!)
11:00 AM - 11:10 AM - Sonny McCumpsey takes the stage and welcomes everyone. Pursuit Church (Justin Wendel) opens the Expo with prayer. The Redfield Mayor welcomes everyone and officially kicks off the Expo. The American Legion presents colors. Redfield Police Officer sings the National Anthem. Sonny McCumpsey highlights the door prizes available to win and at what times the drawings will take place.
11:15 AM - The Beth Carter Band takes the stage.
11:40 AM - The Beth Carter Band exits the stage.
11:40 AM - 11:50 AM - Big Sarge takes the stage to announce his 'Flippin' Contest' and his (2) fishing trips to be given away! Any age can enter his contest, but parents must accompany children.
11:50 AM - 12:30 PM - Pursuit Church leads Praise and Worship.
12:00 PM - Kids Fishing Derby Ends.
12:30 PM - Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration (free samples afterwards!): Deer Sausage Pizza (Located at Whispering Pines Chruch Wagon!)
12:30 PM - Sonny McCumpsey will take the stage and give away AEO door prizes, to include (1) gun donated by Hunter's Refuge!
Sonny McCumpsey will then introduce both Austin Guthrey with American Tire, and Aaron Brown with Lunsford Realtor, both a Platinum Sponsor. Austin Guthrey and Aaron Brown will take the stage. Austin Guthrey will announce a winner of (1) set of tires donated by American Tire and present the prize to the winner. Austin Guthrey will take photos with the winner. Aaron Brown will announce a winner of (1) gun donated by him and his family, with Lunsford Realtor. Aaron Brown will present the prize to the winner. Aaron Brown will take photos with the winner. Sonny McCumpsey announces/names each event sponsor, and Thanks our vendors, attractions, competitions, & bands. Sonny McCumpsey announces the final chance to sign up for the hot dog eating contest will be 3:00 PM, the contest starts at 3:30 PM. Sonny McCumpsey announces/names each event sponsor, and Thanks our vendors, attractions, competitions, & bands. All will exit the stage except for Sonny McCumpsey.
Sonny McCumpsey announces the start of the Summer Sausage State Championship judging/tasting/voting is at 1PM. Sonny McCumpsey asks the (3) Summer Sausage Judges to enter the Judge's Building at this time. Sonny McCumpsey announces that tickets for tasting/voting are $5 each and directs them to the place to purchase the tickets. Sonny McCumpsey announces, names, and thanks each event sponsor.
1:00 PM - Michael Baugh will have the Summer Sausage Contestants draw their random contestant entry numbers. Judging for the State Championship begins... simultaneously, the People's Choice Contest will begin.
1:00 PM - Sonny McCumpsey takes the stage. Sonny McCumpsey first announces that the Summer Sausage People's Choice voting has begun, and will be open until 2:30 p.m. You must have a ticket to vote... ticket's cost $5... you will be able taste test all contestants' summer sausage (while supplies last) and then vote by placing your $5 ticket in the appropriate container. AEO Staff will be available to assist.
Sonny McCumpsey announces the Kids Fishing Derby winners. The Kids Fishing Derby winners take the stage and are presented with their awards/prizes. Photos with the Kids Fishing Derby winners are taken. As photos are being taken, Jeff Bradshaw & family will come on the stage. The contestants exit the stage while Sonny McCumpsey stays.
After the stage clears, Bradshaw Family representatives will announce that a participant from the Kids Fishing Derby was selected as a winner for the "AEO Bradshaw Family Youth Hunt Giveaway". The Bradshaw Family representatives will have that child, and his family come on stage. The Bradshaw Family representatives will explain what the "AEO Bradshaw Family Youth Hunt Giveaway" is, and then officially present the award to the Youth. The Bradshaw Family representatives and the winner, along with his/her family, will then take pictures. All, except Sonny McCumpsey, exit the stage. Once the stage clears, Sonny McCumpsey will welcome Pursuit Church to the stage.
1:20 PM - 2:00 PM - Pursuit Church leads Praise and Worship (Start time will be dependent upon the events prior).
1:30 PM - AGFC educational demonstration. (Located in the Kids Zone!)
2:00 PM - Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration (free samples afterwards!): Southern Greens & Skillet Cornbread (Located at Whispering Pines Chruch Wagon!)
Pursuit Church finishes stage presence for the day.
2:15 PM - Knights Ransom Band takes the stage.
2:30 PM - All Summer Sausage judging ends and Michael Baugh tallies the votes for the People's Choice.
Miss Arkansas arrives.
2:50 PM - Knight's Ransom Band goes on break.
3:00 PM - Michael Baugh will escort Miss Arkansas to the stage.... our Special Judges will follow. Miss Arkansas will receive the name of the Summer Sausage State Champion from the Special Judges and will announce the Champion! Miss Arkansas will present the winner with the award. Miss Arkansas and the Special Judges will take a photo with the champion. The State Champion and Special Judges will exit the stage.
Michael Baugh will announce the People's Choice winner. Miss Arkansas will present the winner with the award and take a picture. Michael Baugh will announce/name each event sponsor while Miss Arkansas is taking pictures with the winner. Michael Baugh will ask all hot dog eating contestants to take their places... event starts at 3:30PM. Michael Baugh & Miss Arkansas exit the stage.
Miss Arkansas, escorted by AEO Staff, starts visiting vendors for photos, handshakes, and smiles.
3:30 PM - Sonny McCumpsey starts the 6-minute Hot Dog Eating Competition on stage and announces the winner immediately afterwards. Sonny McCumpsey awards the winners.
3:50 PM - Knights Ransom Band takes the stage.
4:00 PM - Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration (free samples afterwards!): Baked Stuffed Apples (Located at Whispering Pines Chruch Wagon!)
4:30 PM - Miss Arkansas leaves.
4:45 PM - Knights Ransom Band exits the stage.
5:20 PM - 5:45PM - Sonny McCumpsey will take the stage and give away AEO door prizes, to include another gun donated by Hunter's Refuge (2nd of the day from Hunter's Refuge)!
Sonny McCumpsey will then introduce both Austin Guthrey with American Tire, and Aaron Brown with Lunsford Realtor, both a Platinum Sponsor. Austin Guthrey and Aaron Brown will take the stage. Austin Guthrey will announce each winner of (2) sets of tires, Grand Prizes, donated by American Tire and present the prizes to the winners. Austin Guthrey will take photos with the winner(s). Aaron Brown will announce each winner of (2) guns, the Final Grand Prizes, donated by him and his family, with Lunsford Realtor. Aaron Brown will present the prizes to the winners. Aaron Brown will take photos with the winner(s). Austin Guthrey will exit the stage.
5:50 PM - After Austin Guthrey exits the stage, the American Legion will come on stage and will retire the colors. Sonny McCumpsey again names/thanks each event sponsor. Aaron Brown will close out the Expo with a prayer. All exit the stage. (Knight's Ransom can play for a while if they choose to do so).
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM - All vendors tear-down, pack up, and clean their areas.
9:00 PM - All events must end. Quiet hours for the surrounding neighborhood begin.
